TikTok's lifespan appears to be dwindling in the US.
Starting off the weekly recap with breaking news this morning from the Commerce Department release plans to restrict access to TikTok and WeChat on Sunday. Users who currently have access to the app will continue to have it, but beginning Sunday evening, TikTok users won't have access to app updates, and it won't be eligible for download to potential users. AP News also reported that a total ban on the use of TikTok will follow on Nov. 12.
Earlier this week, Oracle was announced as TikTok's chosen technology provider. TikTok says it does not store US user data in China and that it wouldn't give user to data to the Chinese government.

Every year, according to Pinterest, September is a time when people reassess their key goals and figure out how to realign going into the last quarter of the year. Surprising to no one, Pinterest is calling this year's transition 'Back to (home) life.' With the main overarching trend according to the platform's data is positivity.
Gen Z users are searching for topics around mental health check-ins, creative expression through ASMR food searches and photoshoot ideas. They're also searching for ideas to build their own calming spaces, while Millennials are looking for mental health activities for children and conscious parenting. Home school and entertainment searches are up 20x as well.
