Instagram Stories Content Ideas
When was the last time Instagram made a major update to its feed? It's been a while. But, when was the last time Instagram announced changes to Stories? Last week.
Instagram is placing a lot of importance on video content in general, whether it be through its new release of Reels, or the constant updates to Stories. So, what does that mean?
It means Instagram is placing more importance on Stories than in-feed posts, and will continue to do so moving forward. If you're not posting to Stories consistently, you're missing out. But what should you post? And how often?
In general, I tell my clients to try and post at least 4 times per day to Instagram Stories. Most people won’t stay engaged for much longer than 5-7 slides, so you don’t want them to be too lengthy either.
Not sure how you can come up with content to posts four times per day? Here are some thought starters:
1. Behind-the-scenes content. Everyone likes the feeling of getting exclusive access to see what goes on at their favorite brands' HQ.
2. Unique POV content. Let your employees takeover Stories for the day. Have them share what their day-to-day looks like, their favorite part of their day or their works pace, and what they do before or after work.
3. Exclusive content. Whether it's coupon codes, interviews or access they can't get anywhere else, make it exclusive to Instagram Stories.
4. New product releases. Whatever that might be. Leave clues so create a buildup before the big release date, but do it exclusively on Stories to keep people coming back.
5. Host a Q&A. With Instagram's question stickers, allow your audience to write in with their questions. You're able to pick and choose the one you answer to allow for more control over the conversation, but it's a great way to get your audience engaging and to get answers to their questions.
